Interesting. Any chance THAT battery had been OVER-charged posted by Z-Jay (Edmonton, AB) on June 22, 2006 at 05:34 PM |

guys at the local AutoZone charge it a couple weeks before ZCON b/c it had died over the winter. It started spraying out fumes about 600 miles into the drive from Nashville to Dallas. I replaced it with another from the AZ near the hotel in Irving, and haven't had any more issues with it. At first I thought maybe hte cable running to the hatch had shorted or something, but I haven't had the time to check it all out, and less desire since it hasn't acted up. I am still planning on putting the battery back in the engine bay though to avoid another incident in the future, as there is still the faint tinge of stank-ass now that the bottle of NXT that exploded has been cleaned up.

Throw in our trip to PA and GF is getting tired of my car habit. Boy I'm going to miss her :-D |
